“I now have peace of mind as ICR Scotland’s help and wealth of knowledge and experience are just a phone call away.”

The client
Kim and Sam Wightman, Directors of Kisa’s Ltd, began their family-run business 25 years ago. After opening a restaurant in Kinross and another in Auchterarder, the Wightmans opened their third venue, Kisa’s, in 2015 after realising their dream of finding the perfect premises in Perth.
Renowned for their freshly cooked food and welcoming service, Kim and Sam were in search of a till system that would make taking and managing orders a smooth process in the popular restaurant.
When the couple contacted us, Kim said: “We previously used a traditional cash register from a local supplier. This was slow to use, prices had to be keyed in and it provided little in the way of accurate reporting.
“We relied on staff remembering to charge items after they had taken orders, which was not an efficient system. When looking for a solution, I was introduced to ICR Scotland by a friend who recommended them for their service and Hand Held Ordering System, which I was very interested to try.”

Our Solution – ICR PocketTouch (a fully paperless, wireless hand held ordering system)
As a bustling and contemporary restaurant, Kisa’s needed an EPoS system that would enhance the business and boost efficient customer service. Following our recommendation, we provided an onsite demonstration of ICRTouch PocketTouch.
Having experienced the ease and effectiveness of the revolutionary EPoS software for hand held devices, the Wightmans opted for four Apple iPad Mini’s connecting to two J2 615 EPoS terminals and three kitchen order printers.
The iPads allow staff to take food and drink orders from tables in any area of the restaurant and remotely submit them to the bar or kitchen for preparation. This allows orders to be processed much faster and staff to be consistently available near the tables to take customers’ orders.

Sam commented: “The system has enabled us to significantly reduce order waiting times and serve more customers in busy periods, without staff having to run back and forth between the kitchen and bar.
“One of the greatest benefits of this system is the reduction in overheads due to the need for fewer waiting staff. This, coupled with the increased average spend from additional rounds and faster turnaround of tables, leaves me wondering why more restaurants haven’t adopted this method.”
Having seen the immediate improvement to Kisa’s, Kim and Sam have now introduced the same system at both Auchterarder and Kinross locations.
