The client

Rooster Shack, established by Imran Mamud, is a fast food takeaway and delivery offering a diverse menu for all taste buds. The popular takeaway’s dishes are made using only the finest and freshest ingredients including halal chicken and beef and are delivered around Woking and Guilford.

Imran contacted us in search of an EPoS system that provided seamless stock management and reporting features, which are essential to any small company. In addition, he required software that could handle all aspects of his new business from takeaway, delivery or collection to over the counter, phone or website orders.

Following our initial meetings, Imran said: “Due to the nature of my business, I required specialist advice on the type of software that would process all orders on one system.

“After the first few conversations with ICR Scotland, I found that Iain and his team really understood my requirements and could deliver a tailored system. ICR Scotland has a wealth of knowledge that I found others could not offer.”

Our Solution – One system to process all sales channels

Our Solution – One system to process all sales channels
To provide Rooster Shack with one system that would simplify transactions from all points of sale, we introduced Imran to ‘Catersoft’, a market leading EPoS software application that has been specifically developed for fast food takeaway and delivery businesses.

Linked to the business’ phone line, Catersoft develops a customer database with caller recognition to enable staff to search for postcodes and take orders efficiently and accurately. Orders are then printed and clearly labelled ‘collection’, ‘delivery’ or ‘takeaway’ to simplify the process and support effective customer service.

While building the new system for Rooster Shack, we provided Imran with remote access to view and check the programming before the equipment was dispatched. By overseeing the development of the software, Imran could unbox Catersoft and put it into action straight away with confidence.

The new takeaway proved very successful in its first few months and Imran contacted us to enquire about developing a website linked with the EPoS system for processing online orders.

As there was no existing website, we provided a tailored package that included the registering of Rooster Shack’s domain, designing and building the eCommerce website to accept online orders and integrating the site with the till system. Any orders placed online appear on the tills and are processed and reported in the same way as over the counter or telephone orders.

What’s more is that unlike many of our competitors, we do not charge a commission on online sales, nor do we hold the payments. This was one of the greatest benefits to Rooster Shack as payments are paid directly into the business’ bank account at the time of ordering.

Imran added: “With the help of ICR Scotland, I was able to choose the right system for my business and one that could adapt to growth. They are an all-in-one solution as they deliver the software, have a reliable team to provide continuous support and could setup online ordering with ease at a time that suited me and the growth of my business.”
