The client

Lee Jack, owner of LJ Restaurants Limited, recently realised his vision of building a high-quality restaurant in the perfect location with his parents, Marje and Mike.

The family-run bar and restaurant, Sun Dancer, is situated in Nairn Harbour on the footprint of the old Sandancer Arcade, overlooking the picturesque Moray Firth. During the build of the eatery, an effective EPoS system needed to be installed to ensure effective management of the new business.

Lee said: “As a new business with no EPoS system in place, we were looking for efficient management software that could monitor stock, handle cash and provide a range of service operations.

“We contacted ICR Scotland as they have the most up-to-date software. They were very genuine and professional when advising us on the best system that would benefit the restaurant.”

Our Solution – An effective system makes for an effective restaurant

For the new restaurant to open as soon as possible, our solution was to coincide the installation of state-of-the-art EPoS systems with the completion of the new build.

Due to the flexibility and ease of installing our EPoS systems, we could adapt to the ambiguous timescale of the build process.

To support Lee in the management of Sun Dancer, we recommended additional ICRTouch functions to the TouchPoint software, including the TouchKitchen, TouchOffice Web and TouchMenu. Each of the functions provide reliability, convenience and simplicity in the day-to-day running of a restaurant and bar.
Lee added: “The seamless product software, along with ICR Scotland’s expertise, has transformed the way we can reach our business targets.

“The TouchKitchen screens are the best operational tool as our kitchen is downstairs from the restaurant. Not only is it a check monitor, it also serves as a vital point of communication.”

“ICR Scotland’s patience during the build was great as we had to keep pushing back the installation of the EPoS systems. Since then, they have followed up to ask how our new restaurant journey is going, which reassures us that they will be there to solve any issues if needed.”
